Sh.Ch.Hillanhi Laith

Britain’s most successful brood bitch was believed to be an Airedale Terrier who produced 10 UK champions in the early 50’s, this record has now been equalled by my homebred Sh Ch Hillanhi Laith, dam of 10 champions and five other CC winners from a total of only 23 puppies.

By Sh.Ch. Inchmarlo Montana x the great winning Sh Ch Hillanhi Hjordis, Laith proved to be a dream dog with an ideal temperament and had a wonderful show/brood record. Born in 1985 she had a successful puppy career her first CC coming at Birmingham under Hilda Parkinson and the second a year later under Ernest Froggatt.

A slow maturer she then took time out for her first litter by her half brother Sh Ch Hillanhi Tanne, a Hjordis son. From this came Sh. Ch. Hillanhi Helvern who became the foundation bitch for Chris and Ron Eves Badgebree Kennel

Laith then returned to the ring to claim her title and win a further six CC’s before her second litter this time to Sh Ch Miroku Anton from Dallyvista, continuing the linebred theme, he was ex Hjordis’ sister ex another Inchmarlo dog, Ballyragget, a good working dog.

From this came Helydon kennels foundation Sh Ch Hillanhi Hejne, Hillanhi Merete foundation bitch for Scarscotta Kennel, Abbeyaire Kennels foundation bitch Sh. Ch.Hillanhi Sanne, and Hillanhi Morten.

Laith then won another 10 CC’s including BOB at Crufts before visiting Anton again, this resulted in two multiple CC winners, my own Sh Ch Hillanhi Heldin twice top GSP and Panopal kennels foundation dog Sh.Ch.Hillanhi Soren himself a Crufts BOB winner.

Another CC followed in 1991. then a third litter by Anton, none of the litters had been big and this time there were just two puppies one was the Eschenhof kennels foundation bitch multiple CC and Group winner Sh Ch Hillanhi Brown Velvet.

In 1992 Laith brought her total of CC’s up to 19 and ended the year with her final litter, mated to a first cousin Ch Inchmarlo Ragot Mai and from a litter of five came four UK title holders, My own Crufts BOB winner Sh Ch Hillanhi Heisen, Sh Ch Hillanhi Tjabo, a prepotant sire for the Stairfoot Kennel, Ch Hillanhi Sandor and the Magregor Kennels foundation bitch Sh Ch Hillanhi Hertana. The fifth puppy in the litter went to the USA.
Laith was top brood in GSP each year from 1990 to 1996, and top brood all breeds in 1996.
